Reports of heraldic cases in the Court of chivalry, , prepared from the records of the court by G.D. Squibb -- London, -- p. -- AMICUS No. Greaves, Kevin, A Canadian heraldic primer / Kevin Greaves ; illustrated by Bruce Patterson and Gordon Macpherson -- Ottawa: Heraldry Society of Canada. An account of the case, published by the Heraldry Society, included the pleadings, counsels' arguments and judgment (The Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens of Manchester v The Manchester Palace of Varieties Ltd, Heraldry Society ) provides an illuminating account of the law of arms and the history and jurisdiction of the Court of Chivalry. Few papers reported the case at all comprehensively and some, perhaps fortunately, did not even mention it. However I shall not attempt a full report here because, as mentioned in the Editorial, the Heraldry Society will shortly be publishing a complete account .

There is a companion volume to this web site, containing an account of the court’s history and summaries of the cases for this period: and (eds), Cases in the High Court of Chivalry, (Harleian Society, new series vol. 18, ).
